Website Scraper uses and applications

Websites that we look at everyday are constructed from different computer languages and codes known as data. But we do not see this data on the website but rather what is created by the data. Sometimes the information, or data from one website must be transferred to either another website or a different location and the only way to do that is through the use of a "scraper". It is usually some PHP code that accomplishes this task. This code comprises the program that will perform the task of parsing all of the relevant data on the site and storing it, while ignoring all of the binary data. This is usually the images and the multimedia data. Then it can be transferred to the new site or location.
